Tool outputs, explanations, scores, estimates and indicators are aids only and do not replace advice or review from an appropriately qualified professional.

Security-related tools do not replace antivirus software, email-provider protections, organisational security controls, incident response, professional testing or independent verification.

Accuracy, Compatibility & Tool Outputs

Results can vary with the input, selected settings, file size, file structure, browser, operating system, device resources and third-party components. OCR accuracy can vary with image quality, layout, handwriting and typography. Conversions may alter formatting, quality, transparency, animation or metadata. Regular expressions, generated code, Markdown, HTML and other outputs should be tested before production use.

Meta-tag previews, recommended character ranges and contrast indicators do not guarantee search rankings, indexing, displayed snippets, click-through rates or complete accessibility compliance. Users remain responsible for reviewing and validating important outputs before publishing, sharing, deploying or replacing original material.

Passwords, Encryption & Security

The Password Generator provides estimated strength and entropy information; those estimates do not guarantee account security. Use unique passwords, an appropriate password manager and multi-factor authentication where available.

The File Encryptor is intended for compatible .tce files created by that tool. Security depends on password quality, correct use and the integrity of the user’s browser and device. ToolCookie cannot recover a forgotten encryption password. Keep secure backups of original and encrypted files and test decryption before relying on an encrypted copy.

URL & Email Analysis

The Bulk Link Checker extracts and structurally analyses URL text; it does not fetch destinations or verify live availability, HTTP status, reputation, malware or safety. The URL & Link Structure Checker reviews observable URL-string features and must not be treated as a safety verdict. A lack of selected structural flags does not prove that a link is safe.

The Email Header Analyzer parses supplied headers and explains structural or authentication indicators. It does not perform live DNS, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, blacklist, reputation or malware checks and cannot prove sender identity or detect every phishing attempt.

Images, Metadata & Downloaded Files

The Image Metadata Cleaner currently re-encodes JPEG, PNG and static WebP images into new copies. It does not currently clean PDFs, Office documents, HEIC, RAW, GIF, video or audio files. Re-encoding is not a forensic guarantee that every possible hidden or metadata-like payload has been removed, and visible private information inside an image is not removed.

Keep original files separately, inspect downloaded results and confirm that converted, cleaned, encrypted or generated files open and function as expected before deleting or replacing anything important.

Browser Processing, Storage & Privacy

Most user-provided tool inputs are processed locally in the browser, and the tools are designed to avoid unnecessary transmission of those inputs. Browser-local processing does not mean that a webpage makes no network connections or that all privacy and security risks are eliminated.

Pages may load ordinary website resources, fonts, scripts, libraries, workers or language data from ToolCookie or third-party services. For example, OCR and QR-decoding features depend on externally loaded components. The Stress Buster game and certain tool preferences may use browser storage; clearing site data or changing browsers or devices can remove or separate locally stored progress and settings. Ordinary website requests, hosting logs, cookies, contact submissions and any enabled analytics, advertising, anti-spam or security services are addressed in our Privacy Policy.

ToolCookie pages may contain links to third-party websites or depend on externally hosted software components. We do not control third-party availability, content, security, privacy practices, terms or future changes. A link or technical dependency does not constitute an endorsement or warranty. Review the applicable third-party policies before interacting with an external service.

User Responsibility

You are responsible for the files, text, URLs, headers and other material you submit or process; for having the necessary rights and permissions; and for complying with applicable laws, contracts and organisational policies. You are also responsible for protecting passwords and downloads, maintaining backups, checking outputs and deciding whether a result is appropriate for your intended use.

Do not use ToolCookie as the sole basis for a security, legal, accessibility, SEO, forensic, publishing or data-loss-sensitive decision.
